My TA2 Comprehension Test

The result I got for my comprhension test was actually not unexpected. However, I did not expect to be one of the lowest in class (lowest was 16 marks).

About a week ago, I sat for a comprehension test which will be included in the Term 2 English Overall Marks. I was actually very nervous, doing the test because I was afraid I could not finish it on time. When we were asked to put down our pens, fortunately, I managed to finish all the qustions except for one (I didn't know how to answer it ).

Knowing I won't do well for the test, I just handed in my answer sheet without even caring to ask my other friends how they think about the test. A week later, I received my results. Fortunately, I passed the test but barely. The total marks for the test was 40 marks and I only had 21 marks. I know I didn't do well for the test but I still did not know what my mistakes was. I hope I can do well for the upcoming tests that I would sit for and do well for them. Wish me luck!!!

Match Result- Liverpool 4 Arsenal 1

No....... How can Arsenal lose. It was shocking, especially for me, to have heard that Arsenal received a 4-1 trashing from the Reds.

Well, that's what happen in life: somtimes you win sometimes you lose. I fell so depressed. Although Arsenal have a lesser chance of winning the game, I didn't expect them to be trashed by their rivals. Well, these meant that Arsenal moved to fourth place while Liverpool moved to third ahead of the Gunners. To view the newly-updated English Premiere League table,

Now, a few comments on how Arsenal played. I felt that Arsenal actually got a chance back into the game when
Tomas Rosicky and Fredik Ljunberg went on the pitch. Both are good midfielders and they could increase the chances of Arsenal scoring a few goals. If you had watched the match, Arsenal actually got more chances to attack Liverpool when the two midfielders went on. In my opinion, both of them should have been on the pitch from the beginning of the match. To view the match report, click here

Today's Big Game- Arsenal vs Liverpool

I just can't wait for today's big game. This is one of those crucial macthes which will decided Arsenal FC's position in the English Premiere League (EPL). Although, key players like Thierry Henry and Robin Van Persie are out of today's game due to injury, I still have faith in the Arsenal squad that they will win the match. The match will start around 7.40pm (Singapore time) and would be held at Anfield.

If Arsenal lose today, Liverpool will climb up to third place while Arsenal would go to fourth. However, Arsenal still have one game in hand. If they win today, they would be 4 points clear of Liverpool in the league and it would be their 4th straight win against Liverpool!!! I really do hope the Gunners would win this big game. Come on you Gunners!!!!

The two clubs will face each other in today's match in Anfield

Military Band Rocks !!!

It was a long day today. I ended school at 2.10pm and had Military Band parade immediately. Having not eaten during recess, the last time I had ate was last night- I did not eat breakfast. So, during the entire parade, I was actually starving to death. My Military Band practice would start at 2.30pm and end 6pm. Ocassionally, the band would have foot drills but most of the them, the band would be divided into their different sectionals groups to practice among themselves.

As I play the
Alto Saxaphone, I would practice and spent most of the time with my other saxaphonists friends. During every parade, I actually enjoyed myself as I got the chance the learn more and also socialise with my friends and seniors. Recently, about a week ago, I had my Military Band camp. It was fun as I got to know more about my friends and seniors. We also do foot drills and as we move from one place to another in the school (camp was held at school), we had to jog or run and could not take our own sweet time.

At first, before joining Military Band, I thought of it as a CCA that is boring and I did not even think of joing it until my parents recomended me to jooin the band. However, once in the band, I got to know that it is actually fun and enjoyable. The seniors are friendly and are always approachable. There's no other CCA in my school that is more fun and enjoyable like Military Band.

Coping Well With My Studies

As a term had passed, I had gained many experiences and also knowledge. I am trying my best to cope with my studies especially the languages subjects. To my suprise, I am actually about average for my Mathematics (my best subject) . In primary school, I was always one of the best but in SJI, I appeared to be one of thoses students who are weak in Math. Although having an A1 in Mathematics, the others in my class had higher marks than I. Two have full marks and majority have A1.

Anyway, for my other subjects, I am about average for the rest ( except Malay Language). However, there's one subject whereby my work is graded but not stated in the report book and that is Arts. Every Art lesson, the class would be divided into two groups : Group1 and 2. I am in Group 2. In Group 2, students get to learn more about digital art. We got a chance to design our own artwork and could even showcase our work. Upon completion, our work would then be graded so that students know where they stand in the class in terms of creativity and originality.

Below here is my masterpiece designed by me:

For your information, I have a B3 for this piece of work which is about 64/100 marks. My teachers told me to order to have an A1 mark , the piece must be outstanding than the rest and it must be original and creative. I hope I can improve from my mistakes and produce a better work next term for all of my subjects.

Life In SJI

It has been so far good here in St. Joseph's Institution. The pupils are friendly and also are the staffs. I got along with my classmates well and I now have many friends. I also have many programs in store for me and I can't wait to know what they are. Although, there's alot of subjects in secondary school, I managed to oragnise my time so I would know what to do at the right time.

A school term has just passed and I did fairly average for my subjects. I know I need to do well in the next 3 terms or else I would have a low average mark. Here's my grade for the following subjects:

English B3
Maths A1
Literature C5
Geography A1 (highest in class)
Physics A2
History C5
Malay C5

I know that I have to improve my languages and I will try my best next term. Tomorrow, I have a comprehension test which will be included in my Mid-Year Exam marks for English. I hope I do well. Wish me luck!!!
